Learn MoreAbout J&G Workforce
J&G Workforce Development Services helps job seekers, returning citizens, small contractors, and families in underserved communities access opportunity that has too often been withheld.
We provide Workforce Services, Relocation Services, and Section 3 Compliance and Support, specializing in bridging the gap between large-scale economic development and the people who should benefit most from it. From job training and placement to contractor mentorship and fair relocation services, we connect people to the tools and pathways that can change the trajectory of their lives.
Founded in Richmond, Virginia, and now operating across the state and beyond, J&G works hand in hand with housing authorities, developers, municipalities, and public agencies to ensure the inclusion of low-income residents, minority-owned businesses, and overlooked talent in the workforce and housing ecosystem. Whether supporting affordable housing projects, major developments, or government initiatives, we are embedded in the communities we serve, building trust, meeting people where they are, and staying present long after the ribbon is cut.
Our story began with a simple truth: having skills is not always enough. Founder Grace Washington saw firsthand how returning citizens and residents of public housing were often still shut out of opportunity. She launched J&G to change that, creating a model grounded in direct connection, cultural competency, and accountability. Many of the people we hire, serve, and support come from the same neighborhoods we work in. That is not an accident. That is the mission in action.
Our impact can be seen in job offers extended, families successfully relocated, contractors earning their first multi-million dollar contracts, and communities that trust us to show up and follow through.
"Our approach enables our clients to maintain an edge in the very competitive low-income affordable housing development market."
